Take a look back at the events, gatherings, and celebrations that have brought the Britsburgh community together.

Britsburgh Travel Social
May 2, 2026 — Wigle Whiskey, Strip District
We welcomed Aer Lingus representative Kathy Cosgrove, who shared exciting news: nonstop flights from Pittsburgh to Dublin launch May 25th, opening up easy connections across the UK and Europe. Guests bid on two donated Economy Plus tickets, with half the proceeds supporting the South Hills Children's Choir's upcoming UK trip. The evening also featured a look at Peaky Blinders filming locations and one family's journey tracing their Pittsburgh-to-UK ancestry — all paired with great food from the Wigle Whiskey kitchen.

The American Revolution and the Episcopal Church
April 29, 2026 — Calvary Episcopal Church
Forty guests joined historian Geoff Hurd at Calvary Episcopal Church to explore a fascinating chapter of history: how the Church of England, once deeply intertwined with British colonial rule, was reimagined into today's Episcopal Church following the Revolution. Co-sponsored by The English Nationality Room at the University of Pittsburgh, Britsburgh, and Calvary Episcopal Church, the evening offered a thoughtful look at faith, identity, and independence as Pittsburgh approaches the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Pub Quiz Night at The Pitch
March 11, 2026 — The Pitch on Butler Street, Lawrenceville
A sold-out crowd of Anglophiles and trivia fans packed The Pitch for a British-themed pub quiz, with quizmaster Stuart Readshaw putting teams through their paces on everything from Shakespeare to Harry Styles. The winning team took home a proper haul of English chocolates and eternal bragging rights, while the team in last place was awarded the highly coveted... tin of mushy peas. A brilliant (and delicious) night out in Lawrenceville.
